Why 14 plant oils feel different
The plant-oil blend creates the cleanser’s rich, cushiony glide. Alongside cleansing, these emollient ingredients leave skin feeling soft and supple.
Soybean oil
Soybean oil appears first in the ingredient list. It forms the foundation of the golden oil texture and gives the massage its smooth, substantial feel.
Jojoba and argan
These plant oils add softness to the blend, making the conditioned after-cleanse feel as much a part of the experience as makeup removal.
A rounded plant-oil blend
Grape seed, olive and rice bran oils sit alongside hazelnut, sunflower, camellia, evening primrose and babassu oils, creating a rich texture that spreads comfortably over dry skin.
The oil-to-milk change
Emulsifying ingredients, including Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, allow the oil to disperse with water. Massage again to create a milk that is easy to rinse away.

A complete cleanse comes from covering each area and rinsing well. Keep the pressure light and let the oil glide.

Start dry
Dispense the oil into dry palms and apply to a dry face. Use enough to spread easily; your fingers should glide rather than drag.

Massage the whole face
Use light circular movements to loosen makeup and sunscreen. Include the sides of the nose, under the jaw and around the hairline.

Add water gradually
Wet your fingertips and massage again. Watch the golden oil become milky, then work this emulsion across the face before rinsing.

Rinse and finish
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with your water-based cleanser, pat dry and continue with toner, serum and moisturiser.
Make the milky stage count
If the oil turns milky as soon as you apply it, begin with drier hands and skin next time. If the finish feels oily, spend more time on the water-and-massage stage before rinsing. Include the hairline and jaw deliberately. Use a dedicated remover for stubborn eye makeup and keep cleansing oil out of the eyes.

Can I use it when I have worn sunscreen but no makeup?
Yes. Sunscreen removal is a useful reason to include an oil cleanse in your evening routine. Massage first, emulsify with water, then rinse thoroughly before your next cleansing step.
Should I wet my face first?
Start with dry hands and a dry face. Add water after massaging the oil across your skin. This gives you an oil-cleansing stage followed by a milky rinsing stage.
Why does the oil turn white when water is added?
That is emulsification. The oil disperses with the water, creating the milky texture you massage and rinse away. Work the milk over all the areas where you applied oil.
Where does it fit with my other skincare?
Use it before your water-based cleanser. Once cleansing is complete, apply your toner, serum and moisturiser in their usual order. Cleansing oil is rinsed off before these skincare steps.
Is it suitable for oily skin?
Oily skin can use a cleansing oil. The important steps are gentle application, thorough emulsification and a complete rinse. Choose the rest of your routine according to your skin’s needs.
